Commercial Projects

Though the majority of our work is residential, we undertake various types of commercial projects and retail work for clients who seek good design and an attention to detail. We have, over the years, designed day care homes, offices, showrooms, restaurants and shops. Practical issues are carefully considered while developing light, interesting and inspirational spaces that are a pleasure both to visit and in which to work.

Office Design

The design of office space can greatly affect what makes a successful business. For example, an office layout may be split into different skill sectors (e.g. designers separated from administration) or into teams (e.g. different skills on the same project sitting together). Each approach will affect how an organisation operates. It may be helpful to have an office layout which encourages staff to walk around and talk to each other. The physical environment can also have a marked effect on organisational behaviour and productivity. Space and people are intrinsically linked – it’s not just about a physical layout, it’s about the culture of an organisation. We carefully consider the integration of services and modern communication tools. The office need to be easy to manage and upgrade when necessary. We can also assist with the selection of furniture, colours and the overall feel of the office. 3D design helps discussion over the final appearance of the proposals.
